the puchasing power of Afghan people is very low, so there are places that marketed used material in each city,
it is a used shoe pile, so you should find out the second ones in pile.
he is a used shoe seller...

Понятно, в Москве тоже есть магазины "Second hand", где продают использованные вещи.

these places is different than the ones in Moscow,
a lot of aid materials are coming to Afganistan from all over the world but,
these materials do not receive to citizens, some bad guys (mafia guys) usurp these materials and sell in these places, there is no system here, so maybe you cannot find out the other ones of the shoes in these piles,
Afhganistan refused the Russian civilazation and now they live in dark age.

да, я понимаю, что это отличается от московского варианта. Здесь хотя бы стараются сделать вещи почище и поаккуратнее.
Тяжело там жить.

Realy grate photo!!! You made very good contrast of smiling happy guy and on the other side are old used shoes. Deep idea! Composition is perfactly, but i think that may be too much photoshop we can see it. And it prevent for perception of the photo idea.

i wanted to make all details of environment noticeable easily, so i changed the conctrast and light a little,
i just wanted to make a composition with portrait and environment,
